Membership Benefits Professional Development
Through its activities and services, ntc officers and members enhance, expand, and cultivate their professional abilities.
Professional Recognition – Your accomplishments are recognized at ntc Meetings, where annual awards for Employee of the Year, ntc Scholarships, and honorary Awards for service are presented.
Public Relations – participation by several cities will increase public awareness of the industry and its importance in the region. Membership shows pride in your profession to the community.
Code Development Opportunities – Through interaction and membership in model code groups with NCTCOG, members have enhanced opportunities to participate in and impact the development of today’s codes. Regional codes are vetted and amended through this process.
NTC membership consists of three categories:
CLASS A VOTING MEMBER, PROFESSIONal Member AND HONORARY MEMBER
CLASS A MEMBER -The Code Official or his equivalent, or specific delegate of such Official, of any city, county or other code regulating/enforcing entity engaged in the administration or formulation of laws and ordinances relating to building construction represented by this organization, shall qualify to become a Class “A” or Active member. Each such city, county or other code regulating/enforcing entity shall be entitled to only one active Class “A” or Active membership and when that code regulating enforcing entity becomes a member then all employees of that entity automatically become members with non voting privileges.
PROFESSIONAL MEMBER - Any member of the construction industry or any other person interested in or allied with building construction or building inspection shall qualify to become a Professional member.
HONORARY MEMBER - Any individual who has rendered outstanding and meritorious services inthe furtherance of the objectives of the Chapter, and who shall beproposed by the membership and confirmed by majority vote at anyregular meeting or special meeting shall become an honorary member.
Annual dues are based upon these membership classifications:
